Dear Valued Members,

 

We would like to thank you for the support shown to the Golden Isles Homeowners Association and Community this past year and throughout the pandemic. Through your membership and by working together we are moving forward with hope for a bright future as “Spring is in the Air”!

Please mark your calendars for two important meetings we have coming up. We encourage you to attend so your voice can be heard.

 

UPCOMING EVENTS

April 4   at   5:30   pm   –   COMMUNITY   WORKSHOP   AND   GOLDEN   ISLES

VISION MASTER PLAN. To be held at Golden Isles Tennis Center. The City of Hallandale Beach sent a revised letter with the new April 4th date and it will be delivered to you soon with more details regarding the proposed Master Plan visions for Layne Blvd. and our streets.

 

April 24 at 4:00pm   – GOLDEN ISLES HOA PICNIC AND ANNUAL MEETING

& ELECTIONS. To be held at the new Golden Isles Park and Tennis Center. Lots of fun! Food, Bounce House, and Music too! Invitations to be mailed out soon!

We have pulled together as a unified voice within our City to communicate the needs of our neighborhood as they arise with regard to safety and improved quality of life and to have good neighborhood fellowship too!

With the Golden Isles HOA providing Written Letters of Support and/or Public Participation at City Commission meetings, we have addressed concerns and needs that are important to our neighborhood.

The positive results of some of the HOA supported endeavors have been the following:

  • $1.7 Million Dollar Grant that was awarded to our City to provide improvements to our Egret Drive lift station serving our neighborhood.
  • Speed Zone Change to Slow Minimum Wake in our Golden Isles Intercoastal Thanks to Barry Webber and the Slow HB Group who were also proud members of our Golden Isles HOA! This speed zone change will enhance boater safety for our neighbors and the boating public at large while helping to protect our beloved Manatees too!
  • Short Term Vacation Rental Policy Strict enforcement and guidelines approved by the City Commission. Registration is required for every vacation rental in our City and Golden Isles Community. A 3 strikes you are out ruling for repeat offenders could potentially cause a loss of licensing for vacation rental owners in our City and Golden Isles Neighborhood if the the Vacation Rental Policy is not adhered to. Be sure to report any offenders to the police, use your MY HB app and let us know as well.
  • Golden Isles Safe Neighborhood District Vision Master Plan Workshop A first step to bring the whole Golden Isles Safe Neighborhood District homes and condominiums together to possibly develop and design options for streetscape improvements that reflect the evolving character of the whole Golden Isles Community. Discussing, safety, under grounding of utilities, sidewalks, bike lanes, lighting, landscaping, and other possible design options.

 

RENEWED MEMBERSHIP AND EMAIL DRIVE FOR 2022:

  • Almost 100 members to date. New membership forms, renewal notices and your 2022 Membership Invoice is coming soon. Please pay early and remember Zelle is a new payment option available to our Golden Isles HOA Members!

  • WEBSITE FOR GOLDEN ISLES HOA MEMBERS (UNDER CONSTRUCTION)
  • UPDATED GOLDEN ISLES FACEBOOK PAGE (COMPLETED)
  • SUGGESTED TRADE VENDOR LIST ( IN PROGRESS)
  • SOCIAL CALENDAR OF EVENTS (IN PROGRESS)
  • BY-LAW REVISED AND UPDATED AS APPROVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS (COMPLETED – EMAIL GOLDENISLESHOA@GMAIL.COM FOR A COPY)

 

PAST EVENTS FOR 2021:   Social and Fun Events we Sponsored and Participated in:

  • GOLDEN ISLES PARK RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY A FREE ICE CREAM SOCIAL FOR THE COMMUNITY IN HONOR OF OUR BEAUTIFUL GOLDEN ISLES PARK AND TENNIS CENTER GRAND
  • HALLOWEEN 2021 GOLDEN ISLES HOA SPONSORED GLOW IN THE DARK BRACELETS AND NECKLACES, AND SPECIAL CANDY AND TREATS FOR OUR KIDS! THANKS TO TWO OF OUR HOLIDAY DRIVE BOARD MEMBERS AIXA ROVERSI AND DANNY KATTAN WHO OPENED UP THEIR HOMES AND VOLUNTEERED TO HOST THIS COVID FRIENDLY OUTDOOR EVENT!
